As with most events, EMC goes all out. This years’ VMworld 2013 is no exception. Besides the myriad of sessions, meet-ups and parties, the EMC Booth has a lot in store for those who stop by.
I cannot disclose everything the EMC booth will offer (tons of great surprises and *cough* prizes *cough* might be planned) but here is a little sneak peak!
Theater:
Not only are there usually some great giveaways at the theatre sessions, these sessions are interesting, technical and to the point! Great presenters from EMC, partners and customers! Stop by first thing to find the schedule and pick the ones you want to make sure you see. Customer presentations are always great because you know if they didn’t believe in what they are saying they wouldn’t be standing there. So definitely check a lot of them out!
Business Units and Solutions:
All of the business units will be represented and their products (VNX, VMAX, VPLEX, RecoverPoint, XtremeIO/XtremeSF etc.) and the solutions surrounding them. ?
Of course the main reason for the booth is not just the SWAG–it is the discussions and interactions you can have with the expert EMCers there. See some demos, talk about your infrastructure, talk about new products and solutions. Some of the station topics will be as follows:
Software Defined Data Center |
Software Defined Storage |
End User Computing |
Mission Critical Apps |
Management and Orchestration |
Trusted IT |
Joint Integration Tech Previews |
VFRIDGE:
Ah yes the famous VFRIDGE will be at the booth again! If you went to EMCWorld and saw it you know what it is. For those of you who didn’t it is a VMAX frame that has be converted into a refrigerator to store whatever cold things you want. Let’s face it–that means beer.
Also to note:
- A bold new redesign of the booth! Going to be really cool.
- Of course the EMC Elect will be there and are ready and willing to answer your questions at the #EMCElect hashtag
- Exclusive vBrownBag swag as part of EMC Elects sponsorship
This is just the tip of the iceberg–stop by next week at VMworld to the EMC booth, you will not regret is.
Say hi to me too! I will be around the booth quite a bit. Questions? Hit me up on Twitter @codyhosterman
